Do you remember the first reporting manager of your job? I do and I still do keep in touch with them. Not because he has been a manager but as a great mentor and a good motivator to date. Thank you Victor for being in touch till today. After 3months of the rigorous training period at Maa TV, I was assigned to work under Mr. Victor who happened to take care of Programming and Promos. My initial meeting with him was a layman interaction, who you are, and what you want to be in life. No answered with zero TV exposure

I remember meeting victor at his cabin while he was searching for an assistant to help to produce a Primetime tv shows scheduled for every Sunday. My initial job is to raise a request for shooting requirements with the production team and help him with all necessary materials for the shoot. Our shoots often take 2days to shoot and 3 days for editing, and I used to follow him all the time spending most of my office hours. The initial understanding of victor is so small thinking that it is the same as another tv producer who needs to complete his task on time. My opinion started changing when I started experiencing his difference in handling things.

Victor used to be a very creative professional with clear time management while handling shoots and editing. He used to communicate every part of the shoot in a cinematic way making to feel every team member proud of themselves and helping to widen their thoughts and wings. I still remember his kind of respect toward every team member irrespective of his work, designation, and nature of the reaction. This kind of positive attitude toward work helped me to gain confidence at work very quickly and to become an independent producer. He helped me to understand how a frame to place, how the shots are to be divided, how content is generated, and how magic can take place on the edit table. I loved the way he uses intercuts for programs and promotions. I spent my initial 5years of time working with him as an assistant and independent producer reporting to him.

We both worked for various programs fiction & non-fiction together. Also handling biggest events of south India i.e Filmfare awards, Cinemaa Awards, and Music Awards. Was always happy handling red carpets for these prestigious awards not just by coverage but identifying the right hosts and making the host interact with prominent celebrities at the event. Working with Star Maa as a 1st company was always gifted for me. My relationship with victor continued even after leaving the company in the sense of taking the right advice and guidance. For any given point if I struck somewhere, he used to be the go-to person always. Our relationship is so good we still meet often to discuss various aspects media industry which includes newspaper, radio, television, Films, and recent OTTs.

Special Mention: My sincere gratitude to Mr. Praveen Kumar who trained me for 1st 3months on FPC, and TV ratings. A gem in TV Analytics

Thank you victor for being a great mentor over the years 🙃

Love :)

When can we work again Victor?
